THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 11TH 2022 –– In our latest edition of ‘Backstage At ‘Boot Camp where we spotlight some of radio’s next generation of stars, meet Tik Tok Radio Star, Cat Haley. Her radio story began just a few years ago after doing an internship with The KVJ Show on 97.9 WRMF in West Palm Beach,FL. She later helped create their first FM pop station for students at UF! It was called GHQ on 95.3FM! She graduated in May of 2018! Today she airs on TikTok Radio, channel 4 for SiriusXM as well as a radio host on HITS 1 on channel 2!
She says her next step after WRMF was going to Morning Show Boot Camp in August of 2018 ( thanks to the recommendation by Kevin Rolston from the KVJ show). “I was not with a company. I was solo and jobless but made it a point to dominate the mic, ask questions and make myself known at that conference. There I met Ben and Kelly from “The Ben Davis & Kelly K Show” on 99.7 WDJX which led to my first morning show job. I was hired as the 3rd mic/producer on their show in Louisville, KY!” After a year there, budget cuts led to her moving back home to South Florida where one of her dad’s friends introduced her to DJ Laz, who at the time was on HITS 97.3 in Miami! She sent him her demos.
